Sammie Scientific was started by Dr. Sam Pyuzza as an effort to provide personalized tutoring and academic consulting to students in the sciences. Dr. Sam received her Ph.D. in Physiology and Biophysics at a prestigious university located in our nation’s capital and her molecular biology training at a world-renowned research institute located in Montgomery County Maryland. She has over 10 years of tutoring and mentoring experience and enjoys helping students find their inner intellectual.

During the academic year, we offer tutoring services to adult learners and individuals currently enrolled or planning on enrolling in biology and health science courses.

In the summer months, we expand our services to include K-12 students who want to avoid the Summer Learning Slide.

What Makes Sammie Scientific Different?

Understanding that the learning style of an individual can dramatically affect the way a person thinks about learning, Dr. Sam approaches tutoring with an open mind. At Sammie Scientific, consulting sessions can range from one-time exam prep to semester-long academic support, and beyond.

What if I need help in something other than science courses?

We try our best to accommodate and cater to the needs of our scholars. At Sammie Scientific, you can also receive support in exam preparation, computer skills, time management, organization, and long-term academic planning.

Where do I Start?

The first tutoring session is a consultation session. We use this time to determine how much support is needed and the frequency of tutoring sessions. To begin just contact us and we can go from there!
